The finalists are set for this years Lollapalooza Remix Throwdown competition at Double Door on Sunday, August 1st, 2010, 9pm. The finalists are: Craig Williams, DJ White Shadow, Lucky Date, and Professor Purple. Guest artists and DJ’s performing are Hot Pink Delorean, Hey Champ, and last years winner Punky Fresh!

Personally I thought the best remix was Tiga “What You Need” by Kids at the Bar. I was a little dissapointed that Midnight Conspiracy didn’t take advantage and remix a song for a chance at becoming a finalist because they’ve been putting out some of my favorite remixes this year. As for the finalists, I am excited for the match up because they are all so good! The finalists were chosen carefully and I agree with the judges picks because it represents the competition well. So come on out and check out this free event right after Wicker Park Fest; see which finalist gets to play Lollapalooza this summer! EDIT: Midnight Conspiracy did submit a remix, my browser didn’t load it at the time (only possible explanation!). They remixed Tiga’s “What You Need”.
