Alright here we go with my first review.
First of all I’m going to be honest, I watch a lot of movies for free online. This being one of them. I am not ashamed of this because not many movies are worth paying for anyways. That being said, let’s get into it a bit.
This movie is about a 400 year old samurai named Saya. Being that she has the appearance of a teenager but is the tormented half-breed creature with the soul of her human father and the powers and need of blood of her vampire mother.
Saya is sent to a high school on an American military base in Tokyo by The Council, a secret society that has been hunting vampires for centuries. She’s been set out to save Alice, who came under the attack of several vampires, and hunt the demon Onigen that killed her father.
The course of the movie involves Alice in the protection of Saya hunting down the demon/vampire Onigen.
I gave this movie 4 stars because I always love a good slasher/demon flick! It even shared a few elements from movies like: Crouching Tiger, Kill Bill, and Sin City in some parts. To me, between the slashing, and slow-motion blood spatter, the cinematography was pretty neat. The only thing I would have liked better is having less of anything America oriented in it. There’s something about a foreign film spoken in its original country’s language that makes me happy. This was spoken mostly in English. I also kind of predicted the outcome at the end of the movie.
Still, a film I would recommend to anyone looking for a good movie night flick!
More reviews to come.
until then…I remain.
