Forget Maxbar! I believe that a club can not exist in Lincoln Park unless it’s Skybar. At Skybar the music is bumping at a constant rate and the people there know how to keep a good vibe of energy going. The only problem is Skybar closes at 3am, but it’s worth the night out there if you’re looking for a great time.

Skybar is only a few months old and there’s no cover which makes Skybar unique on the weekends in a club rich city like Chicago. The music is mainly house, electro, and trance so beware if you’re used to being around the typical neighborhood bars that pump only hip hop and rock songs.

Maxbar opens at 2am and there are definitely more deserving after hours spots through out the city such as Crobar, Level, Le Passage, or Republic – hell, even Deja Vu is more fun than Maxbar. So, If you’re looking for a fun spot in Lincoln Park with an actual DJ that knows how to mix his music then visit Skybar across the street.
